Upload or take a photo of your passport
If your ETA is granted, you will need to travel to the UK using this passport. Your ETA will be linked to this passport.
Photo requirements:
You must provide a photo of your physical passport. Your application may be rejected if you upload or take a photo of a digital passport.
The photo must clearly show:
- All 4 corners of the personal details page
- Your personal details
- Your photo
- The machine-readable zone (MRZ), which consists of 2 or 3 lines of letters, symbols, and numbers at the bottom of the personal details page of your passport
The photo must be:
- Clear and in focus
- Free from glare or reflections
- Unaltered (no effects or filters)
- Original (not a screenshot or photocopy)
- In colour
- Horizontal (landscape orientation)
- Good quality - at least 600px × 750px
File format (optional): we recommend using a JPG or JPEG file format.
It is your responsibility to provide a proper photo of your passport, so please make sure it follows the above requirements exactly.
If applying for someone else, use their details (e.g. their passport) and ensure you have their consent.
